Investigation finds welding crack caused crane collapse

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is sticking to lift boats $ 4.900 November 17 collapse that killed one, according to a quote from the agency on Thursday. OSHA completed its investigation last month.

The crane, mounted on a pedestal 12 feet high, collapsed when moving a weight of 30 tons at the shipyard of the company just off Industrial Boulevard. Its spire of 200 feet, landed on a shop below, killing Heath Perkins, 30, of Montegut, who was trapped under the debris.
