Shelter Tails: Canine Convention raises $2500 for autism fund

It was a beautiful day in May 16, and I do not mean just the weather.

Doggie Days Dog Park Convention at Thomas Bull Memorial in Montgomery benefited local shelters and people with autism. Sponsored by the Mental Health Association in Orange County and parents run AMOC (Autism Move-A-Thon of Orange County), the event raised $ 2,500 for the Fund of autistic spectrum disorders.

The money raised will go to "people with autism and their families for goods and services or reimbursement of expenses not otherwise recently in the family budget," reported Natasha Tomlins, HA / consultant AMOC.

"A great success for local shelters, as owners and friends were very generous with donations of towels, dog food, cleaners, toys and more," said Tomlins.
