Eybsen Valerie Ventura began working with stained glass, but five years ago discovered the molten glass and all she wanted to do.
"I love it," said Eybsen. "I've never looked back."
Eybsen is one of the latest artists at the Museum of Fine Red Bricks on Main Street in Ventura. His work is exhibited at the Exposition of the Earth Rainbow Gallery through Monday, and will be in the next exhibition, Spring Rhapsody, through June 14.
Eybsen work captures a sense of texture and movement in the glass itself, and subtle build layers deep, "said Jennifer Livia, the owner of the gallery.
Round Eybsen, sculptures shaped plates have designs ranging from abstract forms and geometric shapes are easy to recognize. Colors swirl marbled patterns and range from light to dark iridescent dichroic glass.
