Each year, the folks who make video game consoles new version, and the folks who make and write about video games look at the notion that PC gaming is dead. They talk about how the PC game section in the stores is shrinking as the console sections increase in size, and if a writer on the Web fails to declare that the game consoles and PC traded points in the game world, something is wrong.

Despite the opinions of experts proposed and designed prognosis, PC games still somehow survives, and then surge again as players discover that some games just play better on the PC.
